To add some depth to the photo, I set up two lights at a distance from the display, one with a blue gel and one with a red gel. The lights were balanced with the light provided by the display. The result is spectacular.
My client's friend, who helped with the construction of the display, kept track of the couple's arrival via gps. So she did not wonder why he was turning off the main drive, his friend called him on his cell phone, and Kyle, my client, pretended that this was a very important client's call he had been awaiting all day and that he needed to take it. Hence, he pulled into the parking lot. Once they pulled in, Kyle's friend plugged in the lights.
What Carah thought was a date with a drive through Holiday in Lights turned out to be something more! Quite a bit more!
Congratulations to Kyle and Carah!

I was able to capture the scene hand holding the camera for a 4 second exposure.
What a cool effect. And what a fabulous performance.
But, like some apps, it can have it's issues. Today, the iPhone, which I had used to snap a document photo, would not sync.
So, I did the next best thing to trying to figure it out myself and Googled "evernote iphone won't sync." (Yes, Googling is that easy).
I came across this very useful article. Useful because the author's very first suggestion solved the problem. Turn the Airplane mode switch from off to on and back to off. Yep, that was it. You will have to read the rest of the article to see what else you can try.
]]>Be sure to check out the gallery of photos.
The photo below was taken about a half hour before the performance began. So, it does not show that the place was filled to capacity, standing room only.
Be sure to check out the photos here.
]]>The gallery of the Thursday night performance can be viewed here. You should have received an email from the school with the access code.
The Friday night performances will be available later today. Be sure bookmark this blog post and check back to see when the gallery is available.
This Sunday night be sure to plan on attending the Sacred Music Concert at St. Xavier Church. If you have never attended this annual performance, which is held is some of the most beautiful churches in Cincinnati, you will be blessed.
The composite below is available under Other Products and is also a Featured Product.
It is a 10x10 composite. Select four photos and include your child's name.

Out of all the cities in the USA, out of all the cities in the world, Cincinnati was chosen to host the 2012 World Choir Games. Almost 50 photographers, from amateurs to aspiring professionals and professionals, volunteered to photograph this historic event. Of those 50 photographers, only a select few were permitted to photograph the opening and closing and award ceremonies at US Bank Arena. Out of the thousands of photographs taken and posted on Capture Cincinnati, one photograph was deemed as best at "capturing the 11 day experience,' and it will be used for a very special World Choir Games project. So as not to spoil the surprise, I will share that with you at a later date. In the meantime, peruse the Capture Cincinnati site and view all the wonderful images captures of a wonderful event.

I'm not going to review the show because, well, I am not a reviewer. Suffice it to say, though, the kids do an incredible job. Max and Leo, played by Max Colvill (Highlands 2012 graduate) and Sean Fannin (Walton-Verona), respectively, are wonderful. I would love to see those two guys in The Odd Couple.

There are three shows left, next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at 730, 730, and 230, respectively. Come out and see the show and supports these kids. You'll get a great laugh. In the meantime, check out some of the photos on my Facebook page here and in the full gallery here.
"I received the pictures today. Thank you very much. They are excellent! Wished I could buy them all. Very good drama and great pictures."
]]>We did a few clothing changes and switched up the backgrounds for a few more poses. After about an hour of shooting to a Collective Soul mix on Pandora, we headed to the great outdoors.
Adrianne is so comfortable in front of the camera. From serious to moody to happy, she transitioned so naturally. It was a real pleasure working with her, the dogs, and her mom. Didn't mean to put mom last. :) Heck, without her mom, I would have had no one to hold the reflector. Thanks, Outi, for your help.
