Welcome to my blog, where I will keep you apprised of some of the things I photograph and some of the people I work with.

World Choir Games

July 15, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

During the last couple of weeks, I volunteered at the World Choir Games photographing some of the events.  It was a once in a lifetime experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.  This also was a huge success for Cincinnati.

You can see some of my photos at Capture Cincinnati.

C.A.S.T., The Producers

C.A.S.T., Commonwealth Artists Summer Theatre, a community theatre aimed toward the high school and just graduated high school senior crowd, debuted this summer with The Producers, a hilarious Mel Brooks musical. Jason Burgess, theatre teacher extraordinaire at Highlands High School, is the director.

I'm not going to review the show because, well, I am not a reviewer.  Suffice it to say, though, the kids do an incredible job.  Max and Leo, played by Max Colvill (Highlands 2012 graduate) and Sean Fannin (Walton-Verona), respectively, are wonderful.  I would love to see those two guys in The Odd Couple.

There are three shows left, next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at 730, 730, and 230, respectively.  Come out and see the show and supports these kids. You'll get a great laugh. In the meantime, check out some of the photos on my Facebook page here and in the full gallery here.

National Private Truck Council

This weekend and into the upcoming week I am photographing the annual meeting and exhibition of the National Private Truck Council. My affiliation began with them began five years ago when they held their annual meeting in Cincinnati for the first time. As a member of the Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau, I contacted them about photographing that meeting. It's been a wonderful relationship ever since.

"I received the pictures today.   Thank you very much.  They are excellent!  Wished I could buy them all.  Very good drama and great pictures."

Adrianne

We began the photo session at the studio.  Adrianne brought her two little dogs who were absolutely adorable. They handled being in front of the camera magnificently.

We did a few clothing changes and switched up the backgrounds for a few more poses.  After about an hour of shooting to a Collective Soul mix on Pandora, we headed to the great outdoors.

Adrianne is so comfortable in front of the camera. From serious to moody to happy, she transitioned so naturally. It was a real pleasure working with her, the dogs, and her mom. Didn't mean to put mom last. :) Heck, without her mom, I would have had no one to hold the reflector.  Thanks, Outi, for your help.
